    LITERARY MAGAZINE

Inkblot is a creative anthology published every semester through the Writing Center. I created a mixed-media cover and designed a theme to appear on both the front and back.

Art Museum of Eastern Idaho Media

Over a period of four months, I had the opportunity to contribute to TAM’s social media pages. This gave me experience in using a pre-existing brand and writing in a voice that was different than my previous casual school posts.

Art Department Social Media

Over the course of the semester, I had the opportunity to attend art gallery events, interview local artists, faculty, and students, and share stories and creative work from the BYU–Idaho Art Department. I spoke with children of immigrants, international students, and individuals who had sacrificed everything to study art and share beauty with the world. This role reignited my passion for video storytelling and deepened my appreciation for the power of visual communication.

  • Outstanding students recommended by professors to interview. I conducted over 20 interviews and spent around 180 hours editing and splicing video content.

  • I started by interviewing adjunct faculty. I asked about their classes, their experience with art, and their teaching goals.

  • I researched using LinkedIn, the BYU-Idaho Career Center, and professors to find students who had excelled in their fields while attending BYU-Idaho.

  • Every semester, there are 5-8 student shows not including shows in the Spori Gallery or BFA Final Shows. I attended every event to capture these moments.
