Spring 2025 Read-Aloud
This was the last read-aloud I will ever plan—but definitely not the last one I’ll participate in. I’ve loved every second of contributing something meaningful to campus culture and helping others share their voices.
Creating events and communities with inclusivity and diversity at the forefront has been a driving passion. When I first proposed this small event, it was just an idea I pitched to my boss on a Thursday afternoon. “Let me,” I said, “Let me do this.” She said yes.
Since then, the event has grown faster than I ever expected. It’s become something people recognize on campus. Departments know my name as the planner, and students from event planning classes now ask me about setup, decorations, and strategy. This final read-aloud was bittersweet—but I’m grateful I had the chance to do it one more time before passing the torch.
